运动液滴蒸发时传热传质过程的理论分析

对突然置入气体环境中的运动液滴的非稳态蒸发过程进行了传热传质过程的理论分析,建立了初始瞬间液滴非稳态蒸发的数学模型,并对模型进行数值求解.结果表明,在一定情况下,运动液滴突然置于气体环境中的初始瞬间,由于气液界面上与周围环境之间存在较大的浓度差,使得液滴在初始瞬间的蒸发速率很大,将会使气液界面的温度有所下降,这一温度的下降范围与液滴的初始温度、环境的初始温度以及液滴的运动速度有关.     

“It would be impossible to estimate the value of these works...” Mass Production at Springfield Armory during the American Civil War

The U.S. Armory in Springfield, Massachusetts, rarely appears in Civil War histories except perhaps as an unexplained statistical wonder. By late 1863, the Armory was the largest single supplier of rifles to Union forces. Springfield Armory workers out-produced over thirty American contractors, making more Army rifles at less cost while providing contractors with gauges, inspectors, and models, even though there were significant wartime private-sector mechanical innovations. This article identifies and explains the factors in the Armory’s success, provides context on contemporary American arms production and rifle models, and argues that the Armory’s methods and performance were among the first if not the first example of mass production in American small arms manufacture. The relative brevity of the Civil War episode, and the fact that it was not repeated in any comparable way at the Armory until World War II, has obscured its significance in American manufacturing history.

首先介绍了质量矩拦截器的概念和特点,提出建立过载的速度是质量矩拦截器机动性的关键因素。通过建立简化的模型,得到了质量矩拦截器在俯仰平面内运动时建立攻角响应时间的解析表达式,并在此基础上进行了初步分析,表明质量矩拦截器具有很强的机动能力。     

ON THE USE OF TERROR WEAPONS VERSUS MODERN WEAPON SYSTEMS IN AN ARMS RACE BETWEEN DEVELOPED AND LESS DEVELOPED COUNTRIES

Some of the most active arms races are taking place between developed and less developed countries. The inability of less developed countries to compete financially, as well as technologically, with developed countries may be forcing the former to acquire terror weapons (TWP). The Iran–Iraq war in the 1980s and the events of 9/11 proved that the use of TWP is no longer a mere threat; there are several organizations and countries that will not hesitate to use them. This study develops a model of resource allocation in an arms race between a developed country that is characterized by state‐of‐the‐art technology and high GDP, and a less developed country whose technological capability and GDP are much lower. The model is used to predict the optimal mix of weapons of the two countries that are engaged in the arms race. Applying the model to the arms race between Israel and Syria demonstrates its use.

In a environment where party financing, private funding in particular, is generally a laissez-faire business, as in most Southern African countries, there is the real risk that interest groups and wealthy individuals will buy influence in political parties and in so doing erode public confidence in the political system. Because they are neither open to public scrutiny nor subject to any legislative restraints, huge private donations can, and often do, come with strings attached. This lack of transparency and openness, as well as mechanisms to prevent it, provides ample ground for influence peddling, where those who pay the piper call the tune. 物伞系统动力特性研究

研究了降落伞一物体系统的空间运动。假定降落伞和物体都有６个自由度，两者通过吊带连接起来。推导了物伞系统运动的非线性微分方程，运动方程中没有考虑伞绳和吊带的弹性。用所得数学模型分析了减速伞回收系统的动力特性，给出了仿真计算结果。
